Founded in May 2016
We are a 501(c)3 Non profit no kill foster based Medical Animal Rescue dedicated to helping the injured, abandoned, abused and unwanted. We are a foster based rescue and our Mission is to give compassion, safety, medical treatment, nourishment, and eventually a loving and safe forever family for those in need,
We are solely funded by donations and our adoption fees. Every animal rescued receives immediate veterinary care including exams, vaccines, blood tests, fecal for parecites, flea and tick protection and heard worm prevention and much more. Without donations we would not be able to help the many we have. Our passion is to help those that seek medical treatment. Examples, hit by car and left, struck in traps, mange, and any other emergency need.
We are blessed to be associated with Martin Veterinary Hospital and the amazing and knowledgeable staff. They step up all hours of the day to help without hesitation.
If helping animals is your passion and you are not sure were to start, The Goode Life Rescue has many ways to help. From sharing our Facebook posts, to wish list donations, financial donations and every $1 helps more than we can express, volunteering to help at our adoption events, to fostering a dog in need or adopting your new best friend.
It takes a village to help and care for these innocent souls.
You will never regret helping someone in need.........
Meet Oil Slick!
This gorgeous guy with the beautiful gold eyes is Oil Slick. He is a 6 year old Domestic Shorthair who's tested negative for FIV and FeLV, neutered, current on his vaccinations, microchipped and litter box trained.
Oil Slick came to The Goode Life Rescue after he was surrendered because his owners were going into a retirement home.
He is a quiet boy, who is docile and gentle, he minds his own business but likes to be around his foster. He gets along well with people but doesn't like to be picked up or held. He'd rather stay on the floor hanging out on his own. He prefers to be the only cat in the family but he can get along with some dogs.
His main goal in life is finding a forever home. Oil Slick also has a playful side and can sometimes be found in a room chasing a ball and sliding all around the floor. He has his lazy side as well, he will find a quiet spot that is hidden away and sleep the day away.
If you'd like to love Oil Slick and give him the happy home he's looking for, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.glrescue.org/copy-of-adoption-application. If you have any questions about this handsome devil, please email the rescue at email@example.com.
